Handmade in Japan from a mix of kozo/sulphite neutral pH 4 deckle edges. Sekishu is a large sheet with a pronounced laid pattern. It is thin wispy and delicate in feel. It has great wet strength for its weight and is an excellent sheet for traditional Asian painting techniques. It also works well for collage and as a chine colle paper for intaglio printmaking. Sheets measure 24x39 inches and have a natural creamy color.

Mitsumata Tissue is completely handmade out of 100% Japanese Mitsumata fiber. Mitsumata takes at least twice as long as kozo (mulberry) to grow to a suitable size for harvest making each sheet that much more precious. This lovely sheet is a great value and provides a semi-absorbent surface which works well for ink drawing and chine-colle. The almost pinkish natural tone of the paper is warm and inviting. Unsized 20g 21x29x5 inch sheets.
